Parents - Did You Know?

The average child will spend over 1000 hours every year in school and they will spend less than 50 hours in church. The average parent has more than 10 times the opportunities to discuss spiritual issues in one year than a church leader does in 10 years. The church has limited potential to impact the heart of your child. WHAT HAPPENS AT HOME in many ways is more important than what happens at church!

Each week we give you a couple of tools to help make that important learning time easier:

GodTime Cards (for Kids)

Four short devotions for children each week to focus their attention as they spend time reading the Bible and talking to God at home. Kids pick up their GodTime cards during small group time to help them establish a lifelong habit of spending regular time with God.

Refrigerator Door (for Parents)

When you pick up your kids, we'll give you a printed piece that gives you the virtue and its definition, a monthly memory verse, the bottom line, a question to prompt discussion and a preview of what we'll be talking about next week. You can use this each week to follow up on what happened the Sunday before and to help your child learn their memory verse - which is one of their verses of the month in BreakOut!

Monthly Newsletter (for Parents)

This is mailed to your home at the beginning of each month. It offers reviews of current movies, video games, etc, while also giving you sound advice on current issues. On the back is our monthly calendar. Not receiving this? Call the church office to be added to the mailing list - 256-586-3147.
