Jamey Pruett


Jamey has served as pastor since August of 2011. He grew up in Birmingham and was saved at the age of 15 and surrendered to ministry at 18. He is married to Ashleigh, and they have 3 sons: Josiah, Isaac, and Nathaniel. He is a graduate of Mobile College and Beeson Divinity School at Samford University and earned his D.Min. from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. A love for the Church and its mission drive Jamey in his ministry.

Randy Lamon

Minister of Education and Administration

Randy has served on staff since 2004 and is the "old" guy on staff in terms of both age and tenure! He is married to Pam and she is a speech/language pathologist in our local school system. They have two grown children, Jared and Rachel. Randy is a graduate of The University of Alabama and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. His interests include college football and estate sales. His passion in ministry is focused in the area of discipleship and seeing people connect to each other and to God's Word through the groups ministry of the church.

Theresa Mayo

Director of PreSchool and Children

Theresa has served our Children's Ministry at Gilliam Springs since 2005. For her, there is nothing more exciting than to see a child develop foundations in Christ and become a Christian, well except maybe watching them develop habits for a life-long relationship with Christ! Theresa is married to Lee (25+ years), they have two adult children, Seth and Caylee Beth (married to Ryan). Theresa's favorite things are SummerPalooza, teaching, reading, and spending time with her grandsons, Miles and Titus.

Will Harbison

Minister of Students and Personal Discipleship

Will is originally from Arab, AL and was a member of Gilliam Springs Baptist Church until graduating high school. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Auburn University and his Masters of Christian Studies from Union University. Will is passionate about God's mission to make disciples of all nations and helping students find their role in that mission. Before his arrival to the Gilliam staff in 2011, Will served in multiple churches as an interim student minister. He met his wife, Claire, in Auburn and was married in May of 2010. They have two boys, Liam, who was born in July of 2018 and Judah, who was born in January of 2020.

Brad Johnson

Minister of Worship and Media

Brad joined the staff of Gilliam in May 2017. He graduated from the University of Mobile in May 2004. He has served in worship and student ministries for churches in Decatur, Tuscaloosa, Birmingham, and Scottsboro. Brad's desire in leading worship is to help the church direct their attention to God, stand in awe of Him, have their affection for Him deepened, and joyfully answer His call. He and his wife, Sarah, were married in 2008 and they have two children, Gray and Maggie. In his spare time, Brad enjoys chasing around his kids, college football, and disc golf.

Jeremy Patterson

Minister of Missions and Recreation

Jeremy joined the staff at Gilliam Springs in July of 2019 as the Minister of Missions. He has been in the ministry for many years where he has served as Pastor as well as, other staff positions in ministry that the Lord has directed.  He is married to Amanda and she also serves with the Gilliam team as a Ministry Assistant. They have been married for many years and served the Lord together with their children Hayden, Austin, and Kendall.  Jeremy has a background in business and pursued a Masters in Theology from Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary. His passions are serving the Lord locally and globally along with his family.

Bob Hylton

Minister of Senior Adults

Bob Joined the Gilliam team in June 2020. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, NC, Southeastern Theological Seminary at Wake Forest, NC and earned an ED.D degree from Nova Southeastern University at Davie, FL. He is married to his “high school sweetheart”, Wanda. At 20 years of age, Bob and Wanda came to Christ at an evangelistic crusade and were baptized together. They have served in pastoral ministry over 40 years and both were commissioned Missionaries with the North American Mission Board serving in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. They have been married 54 years and have one son, Rob in Athens, AL and one grandson, Colden living in Jacksonville, Fl. Bob loves people, teaching the Bible, serving in church and sharing the Gospel so others can grow in faith.
